Hugh Road Community Park, White Lake

Hugh Road Community Park is around 0.5 hectare in size and has a gorgeous lakefront picnic and swimming area on White Lake, which is located in the spectacular Shuswap region of British Columbia, Canada. White Lake is yet another example of the stunning beauty that BC has to offer and is one of many turquoise blue lakes throughout the province. That being said White Lake is not freezing cold nor is it glacier-fed like its alpine counterparts, so swimming here is comfortable and the water is pretty warm throughout the summer months.

Sunnybrae Park

Sunnybrae Park is located in the small lakeside community of Sunnybrae, British Columbia, Canada, and is one of the best beaches in the Shuswap region of the province. It features a large beach with pristine waters situated on the gorgeous Shuswap Lake. There is a great family picnic area, a parking lot, as well as convenient flush toilets. There is also a short hiking trail that leads to a great view of Tappen Bay and Salmon Arm. There is a playground as well making Sunnybrae Park an excellent place to spend the day with the kids.

Cambridge Road Community Park, Sicamous

Cambridge Road Community Park in BC’s Shuswap features a gorgeous white sand beach with a picture-perfect backdrop of Mara Lake and the wilderness that surrounds it. There are four picnic tables and a washroom for the convenience of the beachgoers. Cambridge Road Community Park is located on Swansea Point, in the village of Sicamous, British Columbia, and is the ideal spot to have a family picnic. Bring the paddleboards, kayaks, floaties, drinks, and some lunch and enjoy all that this scenic Shuswap attraction has to offer.

Sicamous Beach Park (Silver Sands)

Sicamous Beach Park is a popular lakefront destination within the Shuswap region of British Columbia, Canada, and features a spectacular powder-white beach known as Silver Sands Beach, along with the crystal clear waters of Shuswap Lake. There is a designated swimming area that is great for a picnic or family beach day. There is also a playground, a water park, picnic tables, a volleyball court, and washrooms. Within the park, there are bushes of wild raspberries for the picking if you visit at the right time of year.

Meeks Point, Shuswap

Situated near the picture-perfect village of Sorrento, British Columbia is the gorgeous beach called Meeks Point. It is a large beach with beautiful sand that juts out into the massive body of water known as Shuswap Lake. The beach itself protrudes so much that there had to be a light installed so that boat doesn’t run aground. You can be certain that daredevils have dove off of the light many times before. Meeks Point is a great place to take the family for a fun-filled beach day.

White Lake, BC

Known for its crystal clear water, and Rainbow Trout fishing, White Lake, British Columbia is perfectly tucked into the wilderness of the Shuswap Region, just outside of the village of Sorrento. The lake is quiet and is the perfect place to hang out for the day and cool off in the fresh mountain waters. There is also White Lake Provincial Park, which has 20 overnight campsites for public use. There is a small community of people that call White Lake home and some that own a cabin as their summer getaway.
