If you have a passion for travelling, you probably spend all of your free time planning your next adventure.

Getting to see the world and experience different cultures is a great way to improve your outlook on life, but for many of us, it can be hard to juggle our love for travel with our other responsibilities.

However, there are paths you can take with your life that will allow you to spend more time exploring the world and jetting off to exciting destinations. If you’re looking for ways to invest more of your time in travel, then check out our four fantastic tips to help you live your nomadic dreams.

1) Take Your Work on the Go

One unexpected side effect of the pandemic was the discovery that many of us can work just as, if not more, productively as remote workers. Because of this, many companies have decided to do away with the office altogether and move to a fully remote model.

If your company is one of them, speak to your boss about their expectations for your remote working life, you may be able to come to an agreement where some of that work time can be spent on the go, allowing you to fit more travel into your life.

Alternatively, if you’re in a position to do so, you could consider moving to freelance work. Platforms such as Upwork allow for you to find jobs and connect with clients. With freelancing, provided you meet your deadlines, you can work wherever and whenever suits you.

2) Turn Travel into a Career

Many careers allow for more travel, and from holiday reps to flight attendants, you could consider a career change that will let you spend more time aboard.

With both of these professions, employees often get the chance during their off hours to explore some of the destinations that they visit in the course of their work.

You could also consider working as a travel blogger; however, this takes time to turn into a lucrative side hustle – you’ll need dedication and determination to thrive.

3) Study Through Distance Learning

If your plans to further your education are currently standing in the way of your travel dreams, then consider trading in the traditional campus experience for distance learning.

With courses such as Anglia Ruskin University’s Education with Montessori MA, you can study from anywhere in the world, provided you have a laptop and an internet connection.

The flexibility of distance learning will allow you to take your education on the move with you, and study flexibly around your travels.

4) Rent out Your Home

If you’re looking to bring in a little extra cash to fund your trips while you’re away, and you don’t mind the thought of other people using your house while you’re not there, then you could consider renting out your property with a service like Airbnb.

This a great option if you’re going to be away for extended periods of time, and depending on the area you live in, you could make quite a bit of money from these short-term lets.
