Wharf Park is a place of historical value that is located in the small beach town of Naramata in the heart of the Okanagan Valley wine country. Situated on the shores of Okanagan Lake, British Columbia, this park once served as the original old Train Dock at Mill Bay and was used by the Naramata fruit co-op packinghouse to ship local produce to different areas around the valley. The old wharf is now gone and a new one has been constructed and it is great for jumping in the lake with its convenient ladder that allows you to climb back up. The park also has a few benches that are great for relaxing and taking in the tranquil beauty of Okanagan Lake.
Kennedy Lane Beach is a small lake access point located on scenic Tronson Road in Vernon, British Columbia. The Osoyoos Dune is a beach area situated on beautiful Osoyoos Lake in the world-renowned desert wine region known as the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia. The dune is located on the outskirts of the popular beach town of Osoyoos and access requires that you hike through the desert via the Nk’MIp Campgrounds. The land belongs to the local indigenous Okanagan people called the Syilx and is open for public usage. Nk’Mip has plenty of great hiking trails that lead you through picturesque desert landscapes that make it hard to believe that you're in Canada and not Arizona or California.
Christie Memorial Park got its name from RCAF Pilot Officer, Robert G. Christie, who was killed in action during his service in WWII. He was the only man from Okanagan Falls to die during the war. The park is situated at the head of scenic Skaha Lake in British Columbia’s famous desert wine region the Okanagan Valley. It is located in the town of Okanagan Falls and is the largest beach in the area with more than an acre of exquisitely soft sand. Aside from the beach the park also features amenities such as picnic tables, benches, washrooms, change rooms, and tennis courts. The park also has a small peninsula that juts out into the lake and has been converted into a walkway with lamp posts and benches making it a lot a lovely place for an evening stroll.

Sẁiẁs Provincial Park (Haynes Point) is a narrow peninsula of land located on Osoyoos Lake, British Columbia. It is situated in the Okanagan Valley on the outskirts of the small town of Osoyoos and is within the traditional territory of the Osoyoos Indian Band. For thousands of years, the indigenous peoples of the Okanagan have inhabited the lands at Sẁiẁs Provincial Park. The park itself is a gorgeous strip of land that extends almost across the entirety of Osoyoos Lake and when the water is low during the summer you can pretty much walk to the other side. The park’s shores are lined with picturesque beaches that are perfect for family picnics and are open for public day-use. Sẁiẁs Provincial Park also provides campers with 41 vehicle accessible campsites and 7 of which are doubles campsites for large families and groups. Rates are $32 for one site per night or $16 for senior citizens.
The Swan Lake Nature Reserve Loop is located at the head of Swan Lake on the outskirts of Vernon, British Columbia. It is one of over 50 lakes in the Okanagan Valley, but Swan Lake is not generally used for swimming as it is quite swampy, though it is very popular for fishing, kayaking, and wildlife watching. The hike which is actually more of an easy walk takes you through picturesque grasslands with grasses that are over 6 feet tall. You will be treated to scenic rolling fields lined with quaint farmhouses and decrepit barns from the days of old. The surrounding hills roll down into the flat prairie-like valley and create a natural canvas with lovely photogenic qualities.
Pyramid Provincial Park is one of a string of three provincial parks located in the Summerland area of the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, and is situated on Okanagan Lake along Highway 97. Pyramid along with Kickininee and Soorimpt Provincial Parks all within minutes of each other and are road trip stopovers. Tuc-el-Nuit Lake is just one of over 50 lakes in the Okanagan Valley but is definitely one of the most scenic and provides great views of mountains and vineyards as well as the popular hiking area known as McIntyre Bluff in the background.
