Kaleden Hotel Park, Okanagan Valley

Kaleden Hotel Park lies on the shores of scenic Skaha Lake and is one of only two public parks located in the beautiful lakeside village of Kaleden, British Columbia. Kaleden is a small and quiet community that relies on the good weather of the Okanagan Valley to produce excellent crops like fruits and wines. Kaleden Hotel Park makes a nice stopover and is an interesting attraction for anybody hiking on the Kettle Valley Rail Trail going from Penticton to Okanagan Falls or vice versa.

Veterans Memorial, Osoyoos

Veterans Memorial is certainly not a hugely popular attraction in Osoyoos, British Columbia, but it does offer a relaxing place to sit and enjoy the great views of Osoyoos Lake looking towards the U.S.A. The park was created in order to remember the brave men and women who fought in wars for the Canadian Armed Forces. It features several benches and an arrangement of gardens containing many different desert plants from other parts of the world. The gardens boast several species of cold-hardy cacti including the large cholla cactus as well as a few species of yucca.

Penticton Ikeda Japanese Garden

The Penticton Ikeda Japanese Garden is situated at the head of scenic Okanagan Lake, British Columbia in the city of Penticton. It is perfectly located along the Penticton waterfront promenade and is just one of the many attractions that can be accessed along this fantastic boardwalk. The park features a large pond that is stocked with massive Koi fish, as well as garden beds that feature interesting Japanese plant species, such as hardy bamboo trees and many different varieties of flowers. The best time of the year to visit the gardens and enjoy its full display of beauty is in April or May when the flowers come out to bloom.

Start your scenic journey at the park’s bottom entrance and enjoy the stunning views that get better and better the closer you get to the summit. There are a few designated lookouts and viewpoints that have parking lots long with seating areas with benches where you can take in the views of Mount Begbie and the dramatic Monashee Mountain range

Moses Falls has an abundance of splendid beauty and is one of many wonderful attractions in the adventure-filled town of Revelstoke, British Columbia. It provides visitors with a lovely photogenic backdrop and a whimsical rainforest vibe that would be the perfect setting for wedding photography and with the short hike involved could be a definite possibility for newlyweds. Begbie Falls, Revelstoke

Begbie Falls is a popular waterfall attraction, beach, and camping area which is located in the picturesque mountain town of Revelstoke, British Columbia. The falls are situated at the exit of Begbie Creek where it flows out into Upper Arrow Lake which is part of the gorgeous Shuswap region of the province. Begbie Creek is the result of glacial runoff that comes from the 2,733 m (8,967 ft) behemoth of a mountain known as Mount Begbie, which contains a subarctic climate and carries snow on its peaks year-round.

3 Valley Gap Heritage Ghost Town is located at the head of Three Valley Lake in the spectacular Monashee Mountains of the Kootenays region of British Columbia. It is surrounded by steep mountain peaks that carry snow on their tops for much of the summer and gush with waterfalls from the spring runoff. With the European style, Chateau in the foreground, and the dramatic mountains, waterfalls, and lake in the background the area resembles something you would possibly see in Switzerland.

Rainbow Falls is a sight to behold with its spectacular and powerful waterfall raging down the mountain, being fed by Spectrum Creek which comes from Spectrum Lake. The falls are located in the spectacular and remote Monashee Provincial Park, British Columbia. Rainbow Falls is one of many incredible attractions throughout the park and is quite a long drive from civilization to get there, so making them one stop on your hiking journey would probably make the most sense.

Horseshoe Bay, West Vancouver

Horseshoe Bay is a quaint seaside village in West Vancouver with picture-perfect scenery of Howe Sound and its surrounding islands. The village is home to a BC Ferries terminal that happens to connect the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, Canada with Vancouver Island via ocean ferry. Horseshoe Bay is located at the western tip of West Vancouver and is also the gateway to the Sea to Sky Highway that leads to Squamish, Whistler, and into the BC interior to Pemberton and Lillooet.

Shuswap River

The Shuswap River in the interior of British Columbia has been the heart of the Okanagan Valley and the Shuswap region for many thousands of years and remains so to this day.
