Neck and neck with Osoyoos Lake for warmest in the water in the country, Christina Lake holds its own and is said to lie on a fault line and have hot springs bubbling into it. This brings the water temperatures up to a steamy 22 Celsius (73 Fahrenheit) during the summer months.

Three Valley Lake, BC

Three Valley Lake is a picturesque body of water located in the Columbia-Shuswap region of adventure-filled British Columbia, Canada, and is roughly 27 km southwest of the popular mountain ski village of Revelstoke. It is perfectly enveloped by spectacular mountains that have snow on their tops for the majority of the year, aside from the months of August and September. These snowy mountains create gorgeous waterfalls that crash down into the lake and are an amazing sight to behold. The lake is quite gorgeous and with its great beaches, dramatic mountain scenery, waterfalls, and European style chateau hotel it is truly reminiscent of something you may see in the Swiss Alps.

Eva Lake, Revelstoke

Eva Lake is yet another magical body of water located within British Columbia’s stunning Mount Revelstoke National Park. The park itself is 260 square kilometers and is packed full of incredibly scenic hiking trails and a must-see attraction for anyone who is into an outdoor adventure enthusiast.

Your visit to Revelstoke, BC shouldn’t be complete without visiting Eva Lake and its neighbor Miller Lake. The lakes are perfectly tucked into the spectacular Selkirk Mountains range and were created at the end of the last ice age. Eva lake has dramatic mountain scenery with an unbelievable backdrop that will have you rubbing your eyes once or twice just to make sure what you're seeing is even real.

Miller Lake, Revelstoke

Miller Lake is a breathtaking body of water situated high in the rugged alpine of Mount Revelstoke National Park in British Columbia, Canada. It provides hikers with stunning mountain views and seemingly unreal aqua blue glacial water. It has several outcroppings and rock islands that protrude out into the water allowing for a great place to stop and have lunch in order to refuel for the next section of your hiking journey. Unless of course, Miller Lake is your final destination, then you can stop and enjoy the fruits of your labor and take in the incredible scenery. If you do choose to continue onward than another phenomenal place to visit is Eva Lake, which is another 30 minutes or 0.8 km hike.

Arrow Lakes

Edgewood is a tiny farming community located somewhat off the beaten path and essentially leads to nowhere. It is tucked into the incredibly beautiful Rocky Mountains in the Kootenays region of British Columbia, Canada. It is perfectly situated along the edge of the Arrow Lakes, which are not really lakes at all but more of a dam caused widening of the mighty Columbia River, which is actually the largest river in the Pacific Northwest.

Red Sands Beach, Nelson

Red Sands Beach is an incredibly beautiful spot which is situated on the shores of magnificent Kootenay Lake, and just outside of the laid back, free-loving hippie stronghold of Nelson, British Columbia. The beach is steeped in controversy over the fact that locals and travelers alike use the beach to get that full-body tan if you know what I mean. I mean nudity in case you were unsure. In the past, there have been proposals to develop commercial and residential units which would include the development of Red Sands Beach.
