Let me start off by saying I’m a sucker for a box full of goodies, but who isn’t? I am also a huge fan of any camping or hiking gear that will help to make my adventures more fun and more efficient. So naturally, when I found out about the Explore Magazine subscription Gear Box, I was thrilled to jump on it. The aptly named ‘Live the Adventure Club’ is exactly as the title suggests, an expertly curated box of gear that has been designed to help you while you live an adventurous lifestyle.

How Much Does The Gear Box Cost
The subscription comes at a cost of $97 quarterly (every 3 months). That being said the retail value is typically much greater than the cost of the gear box, so there is a lot of bang for your buck. For instance, I received the summer edition of the box and got $165 worth of gear for only $97.

What We Enjoyed About the Gear Box
We ordered the Gear Box without ever knowing what was inside and that turned out to be a great idea because it created some fun and anticipation about what may be in the box. When we excitedly opened the box we found lots of things that would be useful to us. Being huge fans and users of portable gas camp stoves we particularly enjoyed the lightweight condiment and spice containers, as well as the collapsable camping kettle. We ended up using these on our road trip to the Kootenays, where we hiked beautiful Red Mountain and made lunch at the old ski cabin on the summit.
All in all everything in the box was great and the magazine issue was a great read. We highly recommend subscribing to the Live the Adventure Club.
