Looking for a moderately easy Okanagan Valley hike with splendid views? Check out the Raptor Loop Trail. The trail is situated within the Spion Kop Trails system of Lake Country, British Columbia. It is just one of 7 designated hiking trails in the park, but it offers a lot for such a short and easy hike.
This lovely 2.9 km loop takes hikers on some slightly steep uphill sections through lush forests that open up into perfect panoramic views. One of the lookouts (Ghoulie’s Lookout) provides a convenient bench to take a break and enjoy the scenery. At the second lookout, hikers will take in views of Wood Lake in the foreground, the village of Oyama in between, and Kalamalka Lake in the background.
