Things to Do in Peachland
Hardy Falls Regional Park is quite close to the property and is an easy 10-15-minute hike through the forest along the creek, where, during the fall, you can spot spawning Kokanee salmon.
The Beach Avenue Promenade Walk allows visitors and locals to walk, ride, or roll along the scenic 7-kilometer lakeside path leading to picturesque parks and gorgeous beaches with numerous picnic tables and benches to park up and enjoy the incredible lakefront scenery.
Trepanier Creek Greenway is the closest hiking trail to the property and provides a fairly easy 5 km hike into some of the region’s dramatic canyons, where you’ll see a series of waterfalls and an old 20th-century dam.
Swim Bay is just one of the many parks along the shore, but it is perhaps the best spot for swimming, especially for those with kids, as the park is equipped with jumping platforms and even a zipline. It is also the Okanagan's only lifeguard-supervised swim area on the lake.
Pincushion Mountain is the most popular summit in Peachland, and a must if you’re into hiking, as you will take in some of the Okanagan’s best views adorned with a large, locally iconic Canadian flag. The trail is a short but steep 4 km hike, gaining over 300 meters in elevation.
The Peachland Museum is another interesting attraction and is located inside a historic church, featuring plenty of artifacts and a very intricate train model with mini replicas of parts of the BC interior.
The Gasthaus on the Lake is arguably the most popular restaurant in Peachland, and for good reason, as it allows visitors to experience traditional Bavarian food while enjoying the authentic and whimsical feel of the restaurant’s traditional German design.
Bliss Bakery is another very popular lakefront establishment where one can get great coffee and baked goods while enjoying views of Okanagan Lake.
