The Spoonbill House is situated on the picturesque Caribbean island of Caye Caulker in the tiny country of Belize. The Island has a population of only around 2000 but has a thriving tourist industry and a mellow vibe with the motto “go slow” being used as the island’s slogan. The people of Caye Caulker are friendly and helpful and make you feel welcome and good traditional Belizean food can be found all over the island.
The Spoonbill House is located in the heart of Caye Caulker’s residential area and gives visitors a taste of what a traditional Belizean neighborhood looks and sounds like. The house has a fenced yard with plenty of privacy and the top deck provides great views looking out over the ocean. The house is basic as is with most local Belizean houses, but gives you the opportunity to really live a simple life. It has a living room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and a bathroom with hot & cold water. The kitchen features a stove/oven, fridge, coffee machine, and all the utensils you will need. The house is also equipped with a small library, smart TV, and wifi.
The Spoonbill House is an excellent place to spend a few nights and with the free bikes, it makes for a great jump-off point for your Caye Caulker adventure.
