Our Experience at Bialto
From the moment we arrived at Bialto, we could tell this was going to be above our expectations, and the valley views upon entering the house were nothing short of phenomenal.
We were warmly welcomed by the hosts Jesús and Mike, and instead of a typical transactional check-in, we were treated like guests of honour. They showed us to our room, “The Okanagan Suite,” and we could instantly feel the relaxed vibes of the property. On the bed, there was a tray that had complimentary local wine, which we enjoyed later that evening.
Our room felt like a sanctuary with large floor-to-ceiling windows that overlooked the city. The linens were quite comfy, and we had fantastic sleep on each of the three nights of our stay. The bathroom featured heated floors and a great walk-in shower.
Mornings at Bialto are one of the main highlights. If you’re an early riser like us, then you can help yourself to a coffee at the espresso machine on the lower floor. As we sat down for breakfast every morning, we were served a multi-course meal we had chosen off of a menu the day before. The ordering process was easy and can be done online. If you have food allergies, they have options for that as well. Each morning our meal started with freshly baked scones and muffins. Next, we indulged in a delicious coconut chia fruit and granola cup, which had mango and kiwi chunks. For the main courses, on the first morning we went with one of our Mexican favourites, chilaquiles, and it did not disappoint. On the second morning, we tried out the Spanish tortilla for our first time, and we absolutely loved it. The third morning was the avocado toast with a poached egg on top. Every single dish we tried was truly excellent, and Jesús really puts a lot of care into his culinary creations. For coffee, Mike is your personal barista and serves guests their choice of either a latte, cappuccino, or Americano.
After an energy-filled breakfast, we would head out for a day of adventure, and during our stay, we ended up doing the following close-by activities:
Hiking to Naramata Falls
Biking the KVR to the “Little Tunnel”
Visiting Creek and Gulley cidery
Walking the waterfront boardwalk
Visiting Sudbury Beach
Visiting Naramata Beach
The cherry on top of our adventure-filled days was going back to the B&B and enjoying an afternoon at our own personal spa. We found that the pool, sauna, cold plunge, and hot tub were exactly what we needed to reset after an energetic day.
To finish off our nights, we would open a bottle of local wine and turn on the outdoor fire pit to enjoy the sunset over the city.
Our stay was nothing short of amazing. We went home feeling totally restored and rejuvenated.
