Playa Bonita is a spectacular stretch of white sand beach that lies along the east coast of Mexico’s largest island, Cozumel. The beach is long and faces the beautiful blue Caribbean Sea and is located in the state of Quintan Roo. It is quite far from the main city of San Miguel de Cozumel which lies on the opposite side of the island facing Playa del Carmen. Visitors typically get there by car or scooter, but the beach can also be reached by bicycle as there is a bike lane that circumnavigates the entire island. The beach was once the location of a lovely oceanfront restaurant and bar, but it was destroyed by a hurricane and now only dilapidated remnants of it remain.
