Playa Punta de Mita is a beach located along the coast of Mexico’s Bay of Banderas in the small village of the same name, Punta de Mita. Considered a part of the Mexican state of Nayarit, Punta de Mita attracts many visitors from the Puerto Vallarta area who come to witness the amazing beauty of the region.
The beach itself brings in a ton of surf enthusiasts who are chasing after the perfect wave and Playa Punta de Mita is an excellent place for beginners who want to learn how to surf. The beach is an ideal place to spend the day and has lovely sand, but it is not the best place if you’re looking for calm waters to swim in. That being said the beach is gorgeous and is well worth the visit. There are drinks and food that you can purchase at the restaurant El Fondo del Mar, con El Lider, as well as tables and chairs that you can rent for the day.
