This resort is situated on the edge of San Pedro Town but far enough from the hustle and bustle of the busy parts to obtain peace and serenity while visiting. That being said a nice relaxed 10-minute stroll along the beach will lead you to San Pedro and its amenities such as restaurants, markets, and souvenir shops.

The Caribbean Villas Hotel has very affordable rates and is well maintained and clean, so it should come as no surprise that the resort won the “2017 Travelers Choice Award” from Tripadvisor. The grounds feature 3.6 acres of lovely tropical gardens, a private beach, and 2 oceanfront pools where you can relax and sip on some tropical cocktails or some Belikin beers.

Where to Eat

The Amber Beach Bar & Grill is available on site and serves up delicious Belizean food and offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as drinks all day long on Sundays, the restaurant has the Sunday Beach Barbeque & Mayan Pig Roast with live music. You can also grab one of the hotel’s free bikes and ride down the street for about 2 minutes and you will come to an amazing little fruit stand with a lovely Belizean woman who serves fresh fruits for very good prices. If you are Canadian or American you may want to check out the Crazy Canucks Beach bar which is a Canadian-owned establishment just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel.

The Private Dock

The property also features a large private dock that has a great spot for snorkeling, swimming, and the El Diablo Water Slide which is the only water slide in San Pedro and allows you to launch into the blue Caribbean water. The dock also includes a cocktail bar and a convenient tour booking office. From here you can book snorkeling at the Blue Hole, diving, manatee watching, cave tubing, or Mayan ruins tours.

San Pedro Town is the largest city on the gorgeous Caribbean island of Ambergris Caye. The island belongs to the small Central American country known as Belize and lies 35 km from the coastline. it is roughly 40 km long from north to south and around 1.6 km wide. As with most keys in the Caribbean, Ambergris Caye has nothing in terms of mountains or even hills and is essentially completely flat. That being said this spectacular island has so much to offer, such as; pearly white-sand beaches with turquoise blue waters, super-friendly locals with a uniquely blended culture, delicious food with a Mexican-Caribbean twist, and interesting wildlife like large iguanas and crocodiles.

Caye Caulker is a gorgeous tropical island getaway that is located in the Caribbean Sea and is part of the small and humble Central American country of Belize. The island has a small population of only 2000 inhabitants but does swell with tourists in the high season which is between October and April. It is not a large island and occupies an area of only 5 miles (8.0 km) long by less than 1 mile (1.6 km) wide. The island maintains an ultra-relaxed atmosphere and lives by the motto “go slow”, which is displayed all over the island and is comically enforced by the local rastas if you happen to ride your bicycle a little too fast down the main street. This relaxed way of life is even more apparent by the fact that only bicycles and golf carts are allowed on the island.
