There are many beautiful waterfalls in the Kootenays, British Columbia and aside from Ione Falls, Sutherland Falls is probably the easiest to reach requiring only a 0.5 km walk down a flat path. The falls are situated just outside of the adventure playground known as Revelstoke at Blanket Creek Provincial Park, where the is a public campground and day-use area.

Within just 5 minutes of walking, you’ll reach a gorgeous sight to behold in Sutherland Falls. You’ll be treated to a scene of turquoise blue water rushing down from the glacial meltwaters of Blanket Mountain.

While visiting the Revelstoke area, we recommended adding Begbie Falls and Moses Falls to your itinerary.

Moses Falls has an abundance of splendid beauty and is one of many wonderful attractions in the adventure-filled town of Revelstoke, British Columbia. It provides visitors with a lovely photogenic backdrop and a whimsical rainforest vibe that would be the perfect setting for wedding photography and with the short hike involved could be a definite possibility for newlyweds. That being said the trail is short but steep and can be mucky in some areas, so it is not recommended to wear your wedding attire.
