Lost Lake is a little-known slice of British Columbia heaven that is situated directly off highway 6 between Cherryville in the Okanagan, and Fauquier in the Kootenays region. It is technically part of Cherryville but is quite far from the village and smack dab in the middle of nowhere. The area is open to the public and features bathrooms, picnic tables, and hiking trails. Aside from the rest area, the lake is quiet, peaceful, and would be an excellent place to take out the kayak or paddleboards. Camping is not allowed but it is common to see people parking camper vans by the lake for the night.
