Mara Provincial Park is a popular 5.9-hectare day-use park that is situated along the gorgeous Mara Lake in the Shuswap region of British Columbia, Canada. It is located just south of the picturesque little resort town of Sicamous, BC. It features a large beach with powdery fine white sand and is ideal for family picnics, swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, and launching a boat. The park has plenty of space and there are several picnic tables that are perfect for family beach BBQs.

Mara Lake
The lake itself is spectacular and consists of beautiful mountain scenery and brilliant glassy water that shines like a mirror on calm days. Mara Lake has plenty of beaches that are accessible to the public and most of them contain amazing white sand. At the north end of the lake is the town of Sicamous where Mara Lake joins the much larger Shuswap Lake via the Sicamous Narrows. This is a popular spot for boaters to stop and have lunch and drinks at the locally famous pub known as Moose Mulligans.
Mara Lake and Sicamous together are considered the “Houseboat Capital of Canada” and many vacationers come to enjoy a holiday on the water by renting a houseboat with family and friends.
